But using technology to innovate movie marketing has gone unabashedly high with Don 2, which is co-produced by Excel Entertainment and Reliance Big Pictures.
The movie has tied up with Google and YouTube for its new media initiatives. According to the collaboration, viewers could watch a few songs from the movie in 3D on their computers using 3D glasses. The movie has also associated with McDonalds and Cafe Coffe Day in 20 cities to provide free internet access using Wi-fi in their outlets.

Bollywood star Shar Rukh Khan is not leaving any stone unturned to promote his forthcoming flick 'Don2'.
During his whirlwind promotion spree, Shah Rukh Khan also visited the office of 'Samay News Channel' on Sunday evening and spoke heart out about the story and his initial days in the National Capital Region.
SRK said that DON-2 is improved version of its previous movie Don. "The action sequences of the flick are being improved and audience will definitely like it."
Shah Rukh also recounted his days in the National Capital Region and said that he still remembered cycling in Noida and delicious butter chicken of Delhi.
According to the Shah Rukh Khan, Farhan Akhtar's Don-2 will provide the negative character to new heights. Interestingly, Don-2 has already earned over 37 crore by selling satellites rights much before its release.
This will not be the first time when SRK will portray a negative role on silver screen. in the first phase of his acting career, King Khan played negative characters in the movie 'Dar, Anzam and Bazigar.
The Don2 will be released on December 22, 2012 world wide.

This Farhan Akhtar directed motion picture has sold its satellite rights for a whopping 37 crores, inform trade sources. It's Zee TV who has bought the satellite rights for this movie.
Apparently, this is one of the biggest satellite deals to take place in the history of Indian cinema. It's the hype of the movie along with the success of it's predecessor that has helped it in scoring this big one at the box office.
It looks like the producers have already started their walk to the bank, smiling.
