Sonu Nigam’s son Nevaan Nigam has made the song Kolaveri Di famous, yet again. Nevaan Nigam has sung an endearing new version of Dhanush super-viral song.
The original song from Dhanush’s film 3 directed by his wife Aishwarya, is about a jilted lover mourning his failure in love over glass of scotch. Nevaan’s version is a much spritelier version that pesters his ‘mama’ for a glass of milk instead.
Neevan`s version of the song has some different lyrics, but his innocence in the video has been winning hearts ever since it went online. If Dhanush`s song was called ‘Soup Song’, Neevan calls his version ‘Milk Song’.
This is how the milk song goes: “Hand…u glass…u milk…u, milk..u colour..u white…u, Yempty glass…u, mamma come…u, give me milk..u dear..u”
So the original ‘soup song’ by Dhanush becomes ‘milk song’ by Neevan. The newly made video featuring Sonu Nigam’s son Neevan behind the mike also has Sonu and his wife Madhurima watching his performance in the recording studio. Neevan changes the lyrics to adapt to his milieu i.e. ‘Scotch’ is replaced with ‘milk’.
The video put up on YouTube is fast turning a sensation for the innocence in Neevan’s singing. As Dhanush original got numerous clicks since November 16, Nevaan’s version is also picking up pace with the clicks going very fast and even Dhanush has loved it.
Exclaiming on the milk version, Dhanush tweeted, “Oh my god I`m in love with Nevaan Nigam’s version of ‘Kolaveri’. Great idea Sonu nigam ji. It`s very touching and endearing. Hi 5 nevaan. God bless u.”
Nevaan`s version was uploaded on December 4th. The immediate next day the milk version generated more than 63,586 hits.
After receiving Dhanush`s compliments, Sonu tweeted: “Thank u @dhanushkraja ji… He so loved the song that we thought we should do this for him… And now he thinks you`ll meet him :) More Power!”
